L’esposizione fotografica in Porta Venezia rimette in discussione il ruolo del corpo e il suo valore nel contemporaneo.
Se qualcuno di voi fosse mai incappato per caso nei profili social di Antonio e Alessandro capirebbe che oltre ai capezzoli induriti e gli orifizi sgocciolanti c’è un universo di riflessioni e pensieri sulla sessualità ben lontano dal far arrossire il più timido dei boy scout. Vien da sé che l’unione delle loro menti non poteva che generare qualcosa di unico e potente. Il progetto “Explicit Content”, supportato da The Complainers, consiste in un’esposizione fotografica che verrà inaugurata questa sera con un vernissage privato e rimarrà visitabile fino al 22 dicembre presso l’ Erotika Sexy Boutique di via Melzo 19, di cui è anche partner.
18 soggetti vuol dire 18 storie e quindi 18 modi di vivere la sessualità. Ma soprattutto 18 corpi. Nudi.
Secondo Antonio, il rapporto di ciascuno con la propria sessualità è la forma più precisa e intima di descrizione di un individuo. Dallo strato più profondo dell’inconscio fino alla superficie, la sessualità esprime l’insieme più completo di esperienze, elaborazioni, riflessioni e desideri, e pertanto non può esserci giudizio nel trasferirlo su pellicola, ma solo la totale libertà di farlo squirtare fuori da ogni fessura del corpo, come lava dai crateri.
Oltre al tradizionale sesso vaginale, anale, orale e manuale, perché denigrare o, ancora peggio ignorare per esempio lo slapping, o un saziante bukkake o il cuckolding? Niente che il corpo non possa raggiungere.
Mi ricorda alla lontana quel pensiero di Schopenhauer, per cui corpo e volontà coincidano. Dove c’è corpo c’è volontà, e dove c’è volontà c’è desiderio. Il primo è tangibile, razionale, limitato e non potrà mai raggiungere il secondo che invece è assoluto, impalpabile e infinito.
“Explicit Content” si pone in antitesi a questa teoria e dimostra proprio come il corpo sia l’unico veicolo perfetto per l’espressione totale e libera delle sfaccettature della sessualità.
Alessandro ha fatto del sesso il proprio linguaggio. Fin da bambino è stato educato al rispetto della intimità, alla libertà di espressione e alla scoperta del corpo, al punto da renderlo quasi un’ossessione. La ricerca continua, l’approfondire su di sé e sugli altri il concetto di sessualità, ha spinto Alessandro a rielaborare il significato del sesso in un “odorarsi reciproco, una danza febbrile fatta di carne, liquidi, capelli e fiati” senza giudizio alcuno. E questa riflessione ha portato il progetto fotografico a discostarsi dallo stereotipo di erotismo per delineare un’altra immagine di nudo. Le 18 persone ritratte dalla camera di Antonio hanno risposto volontariamente ad una chiamata (che forse partiva da dentro di loro) ed hanno partecipato attivamente alla creazione delle immagini. Ciascuno ha portato in un limbo bianco e algido il rapporto libero tra il proprio corpo e la propria sessualità, già di per sé unico e differente. A questo si aggiunge la visione di Alessandro e la sua tecnica di manipolazione delle immagini attraverso scansioni e sovrapposizioni, ottenendo forme altre in cui la nudità passa in secondo piano.
“Le fotografie - continua Alessandro - non sono state né edulcorate né maltrattate, ma soltanto trattate per generare figure chimeriche senza limiti, inclusive, che non ricercano la bellezza ma raccontano l’autenticità”.
Quelle che vediamo ritratte lungo l’esposizione non sono più le 18 persone fotografate da Antonio, ma sono la raffigurazione del concetto stesso di sessualità. Creature mitologiche senza genere, mostri gentili nell’accezione latina di prodigio aldilà dei confini della normalità.
All’alba dell’epilogo del 2023, l’uso della narrazione sessuale nell’arte (e nel marketing) è stata talmente violenta e incessante da aver perso il suo significato e valore. Per trovarla, ora bisogna scavare con più forza. Antonio e Alessandro hanno colto l’occasione per dare uno spunto di dibattito e riflessione, ponendoci al bordo dell’abisso dentro di noi.

Photographic exhibition in Porta Venezia questions the role of body and its value in contemporaneity.
If anybody had accidentally ever stumbled into Antonio and Alessandro social profiles, they would understand that beyond hard nipples and dripping holes, there’s a world of thoughts and reflections about sexuality far away from making the shyest boy scout blush. The collaboration between their minds couldn’t but generate something unique and powerful. The project “Explicit Content”, powered by The Complainers, is a photographic exhibition that will be opened tonight in a private vernissage and will be open until dic 22nd at Erotika Sexy Boutique, partner of the project, in Via Melzo 19.
18 people means 18 stories and then 18 way to experience the sexuality. Most of all 18 bodies. Naked.
According to Antonio, the relationship between anybody with their own sexuality is the most precise and intimate way to describe a person. From the deepest layer of the unconscious to the surface, sexuality expresses the whole experiences, elaborations, reflections and desires and so, there can be no judgement in transferring it to film, but the only freedom to squirt out by every crack of the body, like lava through the craters.
Beyond the traditional vaginal, anal, oral and hand sex, why vilify or, even worst, ignore for example the slapping, or a filling bukkake or cuckolding? Nothing can’t be achieved by the body.
It remotely reminds me Schopenhauer’s thought that the body is the same as the will. Where there’s a body there’s a will, and where there’s a will there’s a desire. The first is touchable, rational, limited and it couldn’t ever achieve the second, which is absolute, intangible and infinite.
“Explicit Content” puts it self as antithesis to this theory and proves that body is the only perfect vehicle for the total and free expression of the facets of the sexuality.
Alessandro made sex as his own language. Since he was a child, he has been raised teaching him the respect of intimacy, the freedom of speech and the discovery of body, so much that it turned into an obsession. The unstopped research, deepening the concept of his and others’ sexuality, pushed Alessandro to re-elaborate the meaning of sex into something like “sniffing each other, a feverish dance made of flesh, liquids, hair and breath” with no judgement at all. And this reflection brought the photographic project to depart from the stereotype of eroticism in order to delineate another concept of nudity. The 18 persons portrayed by Antonio’s lens replied willingly to a call (that probably came by their inner) and they contributed actively to the creation of the pictures. Each of them brought on the icy and white set the relationship between their own body and their own sexuality, in itself unique and different. Above all this, there’s Alessandro’s vision and his technique of image manipulation through the scanning and overlapping, getting to other shapes, in which the nudity fades into the background. “The pictures - tells Alessandro - haven’t been neither prettify nor mistreated, but just handled in order to give birth chimeric bodies with no boundaries, inclusive, that don’t look for beauty but that describe the authenticity”.
Those ones we watch across the exhibition are no more the 18 persons shot by Antonio, but the portrait of the concept of sexuality. Genderless mythological creatures, kind monsters as the latin definition of prodigy beyond the borders of normality.
In the closing days of 2023, the use of sexual narrativa in arts (and marketing) got so violent and relentless that it lost its meaning and value. To find it back, we need to dig more hardly. Antonio e Alessandro seized the opportunity to give a conversation and reflection point, putting ourselves on the edge of the abyss inside of us.
