Il prossimo 12 aprile, a circa 10 anni dalla sua ultima apparizione a Roma per una data al Warehouse in occasione del tour di eventi per il suo venticinquesimo anno di attività, il Rashõmon club ospiterà il Tresor.
Lo storico club di Berlino, che dal 1991 incarna la necessità e la potenza di una città che aveva (durante gli anni successivi alla caduta del muro) ed ha tutt’ora l’impellente bisogno di manifestare la propria espressione artistica e che, sempre dal ’91 e sotto la direzione di Dimitri Heghemann, porta in Europa la techno di Detroit, facendo suonare fra le sue mura mostri sacri come Jeff Mills, Mad Mike Banks e Robert Hood, non dimenticandosi comunque di promuovere il proprio suono con l’omonima etichetta discografica; tornerà a Roma per una “klubnacht” in collaborazione con Resistance is Techno, la serie evento romana che dal 2011, grazie alla costante ricerca di una proposta artistica che faccia attenzione alla tradizione dell’elettronica e alle origini di questa cultura senza mai mancare però di dare spazio all’avanguardia, promuove un tipo di evento che incarna perfettamente l'ideale del genere, ossia creare una comunità all’interno di uno spazio, che tramite la musica possa sentirsi libera di esprimersi sia individualmente che nella sua collettività (se volete altre informazioni su Resistance vi invito a leggere questo nostro articolo).
A costruire un ponte con Berlino la notte del 12 aprile saranno tre nomi italiani: i Fireground, duo napoletano resident al Tresor dal 2022, che porteranno un live set energico che sta conquistando vari club europei; Z.I.P.P.O, resident sia di Resistance che del Tresor, curatore dell’etichetta Fides Records che testimonia la sua visione sonora, i set dinamici sono il suo marchio di fabbrica; mentre a fare gli onori di casa ci saranno gli Asymptote, duo fondatore e dj di Resistance, che dal 2011 portano la loro esperienza e un ricchissimo background in vari club della capitale e non. Una scelta artistica, quella di Resistance, che cela un messaggio preciso, valorizzare i nostri artisti all’estero che troppo spesso, nonostante le loro capacità, non trovano terreno fertile nel nostro paese, in un mercato saturo di guest, che di certo non mancano di qualità, bisogna ammetterlo, ma che allo stesso tempo spesso non lasciano spazio all’artista di emergere e valorizzare il fermento artistico locale.
Una collaborazione - ma lo si può anche definire dialogo, se vogliamo - quella di Resistance is Techno e Tresor che oramai, arrivata al terzo appuntamento italiano e con uno showcase ospitato nello scorso febbraio a Berlino (il club dal 2006 si trova nel distretto di Mitte, più precisamente nella Kraftwerk, un buio agglomerato di tubi in acciaio e cemento che un tempo veniva usata come centrale elettrica, mentre ora ospita performance artistiche, spettacoli visuali, un negozio di dischi e il club di Hegemann), mira a portare avanti questa cultura, non tralasciando le sue origini, concedendo all’ascoltatore e al frequentatore della serata di appassionarsi ai valori storici e contestuali che hanno fatto sì che la techno potesse appunto diventare qualcosa che trascende la sola musica, ossia un vero e proprio movimento.
“Se non fosse stato per il Tresor e il suo ruolo determinante, la musica Techno sarebbe completamente diversa oggi, e forse non saremmo neanche a conoscenza della sua esistenza", ha affermato Francesco Murino, membro del team di Resistance, sottolineando: “Siamo orgogliosi di collaborare con un’istituzione così importante per la cultura della Techno, con la quale abbiamo in comune i valori della resistenza culturale e politica, portandola a Roma per la terza volta nella nostra storia”.

AFTER 10 YEARS RESISTANCE IS TECHNO EMBRACES TRESOR ONCE AGAIN FOR AN EVENT IN COLLABORATION WITH RASHÕMON IN ROME
On April 12th, approximately 10 years since its last appearance in Rome for an event at Warehouse as part of the tour celebrating its twenty-fifth year of activity, Rashõmon club will host Tresor.
The historic Berlin club, which since 1991 embodies the necessity and power of a city that had (in the years following the fall of the Berlin Wall) and still has the urgent need to manifest its artistic expression, and which, since '91 under the direction of Dimitri Heghemann, has brought Detroit techno to Europe, featuring legends such as Jeff Mills, Mad Mike Banks, and Robert Hood within its walls, while also promoting its sound through its eponymous record label, will return to Rome for a "klubnacht" in collaboration with Resistance is Techno, the Roman event series that since 2011, through constant research into an artistic proposal that pays attention to the tradition of electronic music and its origins without ever failing to give space to the avant-garde, promotes events that perfectly embody the genre's ideal, namely, to create a community within a space where, through music, individuals can feel free to express themselves both individually and collectively (if you want more info about Resistance, you can read more in our article here)
Building a bridge with Berlin on the night of April 12th will be three Italian names: Fireground, a Neapolitan duo resident at Tresor since 2022, who will bring an energetic live set that is conquering various European clubs; Z.I.P.P.O, resident of both Resistance and Tresor, curator of the Fides Records label that reflects his sonic vision, dynamic sets being his trademark; while hosting the event will be Asymptote, the founding duo and DJs of Resistance, who since 2011 have brought their experience and rich background to various clubs in the capital and beyond. An artistic choice by Resistance that carries a precise message: to promote our artists abroad who too often, despite their skills, do not find fertile ground in our country, in a market saturated with guests, which certainly do not lack quality, it must be admitted, but at the same time often do not leave room for the artist to emerge and enhance the local artistic ferment.
A collaboration - or, if you will, a dialogue - between Resistance is Techno and Tresor that, now at its third Italian appointment and with a showcase hosted last February in Berlin (the club has been located in the Mitte district since 2006, specifically in Kraftwerk, a dark cluster of steel and concrete pipes that was once used as a power plant, but now hosts artistic performances, visual shows, a record shop, and Hegemann's club), aims to continue this culture, not neglecting its origins, allowing the listener and event attendee to become passionate about the historical and contextual values that have made techno something that transcends mere music, namely a true movement.
"If it weren't for Tresor and its decisive role, Techno music would be completely different today, and perhaps we wouldn't even be aware of its existence," said Francesco Murino, a member of the Resistance team, emphasizing: "We are proud to collaborate with such an important institution for Techno culture, with which we share the values of cultural and political resistance, bringing it to Rome for the third time in our history."
