Spotify ha presentato una nuova funzione DJ alimentata dall'intelligenza artificiale.
La funzione, chiamata DJ, fornirà una scaletta curata di musica con commenti accompagnati da una "voce straordinariamente realistica", secondo l'annuncio fatto mercoledì 22 febbraio dal gigante tecnologico.
Attualmente in fase beta, DJ è in fase di lancio per gli utenti di Spotify Premium negli Stati Uniti e in Canada. Combina la tecnologia di personalizzazione di Spotify con l'intelligenza artificiale generativa e la piattaforma vocale Sonantic, acquisita da Spotify lo scorso anno. Il responsabile delle partnership culturali di Spotify, Xavier Jernigan, che è già stato uno dei conduttori dei programmi mattutini del servizio di streaming The Get Up, è il modello vocale di DJ.

I Daft Punk annunciano una nuova ristampa di Random Access Memories con musica inedita.
I Daft Punk pubblicheranno una nuova versione di Random Access Memories per il decimo anniversario dell'album a maggio.
Il nuovo cofanetto è disponibile nei formati triplo LP e doppio CD (oltre che in digitale) e include nove brani inediti per un totale di 35 minuti. Tra il materiale bonus ci sono versioni alternative di "Get Lucky", "Lose Yourself To Dance" e "Give Life Back To Music", demo incompiuti e altre registrazioni dietro le quinte. È presente anche la versione 2021 di "Touch" utilizzata nel video di addio del duo.
Il duo francese composto da Thomas Bangalter e Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo ha annunciato la propria separazione due anni fa. Da allora, hanno pubblicato un'edizione per il 25° anniversario del loro album di debutto Homework, oltre a una ristampa del loro disco dal vivo Alive '97.
Il mese scorso, Bangalter ha reso noti i dettagli di un album orchestrale solista intitolato Mythologies.

Nathan Fake ha un nuovo album in arrivo.
L'artista elettronico Nathan Fake pubblicherà il nuovo album "Crystal Vision" il 7 aprile.
Il suo primo album dal 2020, il nuovo LP "Crystal Vision" contiene 10 tracce, con ospiti tra cui Clark, colonna portante della Warp Records.
Il disco, che uscirà per l'etichetta Cambria Instruments, sarà accompagnato da una serie di concerti ad aprile, che vedranno Nathan Fake esibirsi a Londra, Brighton, Manchester e Glasgow.
In vista dell'album, Nathan Fake ha condiviso la nuova canzone "The Grass", che vede la partecipazione di Wizard Apprentice. Sembra che la collaborazione sia stata molto organica e che i due si siano combinati perfettamente in studio.

Gli Orbital pubblicano il nuovo album "Optical Delusion".
Il leggendario duo britannico di musica elettronica Orbital ha pubblicato il suo decimo album in studio "Optical Delusion".
L'ultimo album di Phil Hartnoll e Paul Hartnoll contiene i singoli "Dirty Rat", con il duo post-punk Sleaford Mods, "Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)" con The Mediaeval Baebes alla voce e l'ultimo estratto dall'LP "Are You Alive?" con Penelope Isles.
I semi per l'album sono stati gettati durante il blocco della pandemia, e la maggior parte della musica è stata registrata nell'incerto "After Times". È stata la prima volta che i fratelli hanno lavorato per lo più separatamente, contribuendo ciascuno con i propri brani a causa della distanza sociale che li separava durante il processo di produzione musicale.
Per celebrare l'uscita del disco, i fratelli Hartnoll intraprenderanno un tour di nove date nel Regno Unito tra il 29 marzo e l'8 aprile, portando il loro famoso set dal vivo a Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, Londra, Leeds, Cambridge, Nottingham e Brighton.

Il boss della Planet Mu Mike Paradinas, AKA μ-Ziq, ha un nuovo album in uscita.
In uscita il 7 aprile, 1977 sarà la prima pubblicazione di Paradinas per l'etichetta spagnola Balmat, gestita dal fondatore di Lapsus Albert Salinas e dal giornalista musicale Philip Sherburne. Le 15 tracce dell'LP toccano la dark ambient, la jungle, la house e altre sonorità elettroniche dei primi anni '90.
"A volte, 1977 sembra un'esperienza di déjà vu esteso: quando l'abbiamo ascoltato per la prima volta, abbiamo avuto la sensazione di conoscere già questa musica", hanno dichiarato Salinas e Sherburne. "È stato come se l'avessimo sentita anni fa, forse su una cassetta malconcia prestataci da un amico, e l'avessimo cercata da allora. Speriamo che anche voi proviate la stessa sensazione".
Il nuovo album di μ-Ziq arriva a 30 anni dal suo debutto del 1993, Tango N' Vectif, pubblicato su Rephlex.

Spotify has unveiled a new DJ feature powered by artificial intelligence.
The feature, called DJ, will provide a curated playlist of music with commentary accompanied by an 'amazingly realistic voice', according to the announcement made by the tech giant on Wednesday 22 February.
Currently in beta, DJ is being launched for Spotify Premium users in the US and Canada. It combines Spotify's personalisation technology with generative artificial intelligence and the Sonantic voice platform, which Spotify acquired last year. Spotify's head of cultural partnerships, Xavier Jernigan, who has already been one of the hosts of the streaming service's morning programmes The Get Up, is the voice DJ model.
Daft Punk announced a new reissue of Random Access Memories with previously unreleased music.
The new box set is available in triple LP and double CD formats (as well as digitally) and includes nine previously unreleased tracks totalling 35 minutes. Bonus material includes alternate versions of 'Get Lucky', 'Lose Yourself To Dance' and 'Give Life Back To Music', unfinished demos and other behind-the-scenes recordings. Also present is the 2021 version of 'Touch' used in the duo's farewell video.

Nathan Fake has a new album on the way.
Electronic artist Nathan Fake will release his new album 'Crystal Vision' on 7 April.
His first album since 2020, the new LP 'Crystal Vision' contains 10 tracks, with guests including Warp Records mainstay Clark.
The album, to be released on the Cambria Instruments label, will be accompanied by a series of concerts in April, which will see Nathan Fake perform in London, Brighton, Manchester and Glasgow.
Ahead of the album, Nathan Fake shared the new song 'The Grass', featuring Wizard Apprentice. It seems the collaboration was very organic and the two combined perfectly in the studio.

Orbital releases new album 'Optical Delusion'.
Legendary British electronic music duo Orbital have released their tenth studio album 'Optical Delusion'.
Phil Hartnoll and Paul Hartnoll's latest album contains the singles 'Dirty Rat' with the post-punk duo Sleaford Mods, 'Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)' with The Mediaeval Baebes on vocals, and the latest LP 'Are You Alive?' with Penelope Isles.
The seeds for the album were sown during the pandemic lockout, and most of the music was recorded in the uncertain 'After Times'. It was the first time the brothers worked mostly separately, each contributing their own tracks due to the social distance that separated them during the music production process.
To celebrate the release of the album, the Hartnoll brothers will embark on a nine-date UK tour between 29 March and 8 April, taking their famous live set to Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, London, Leeds, Cambridge, Nottingham and Brighton.
'Optical Delusion' is available on vinyl, CD and digitally.
Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas, AKA μ-Ziq, has a new album out.
Due out on 7 April, 1977 will be Paradinas' first release for Spanish label Balmat, run by Lapsus founder Albert Salinas and music journalist Philip Sherburne. The LP's 15 tracks touch on dark ambient, jungle, house and other electronic sounds of the early 1990s.
"Sometimes, 1977 feels like an extended déjà vu experience: when we first heard it, we felt like we already knew this music," said Salinas and Sherburne. 'It was as if we had heard it years ago, perhaps on a battered cassette tape lent to us by a friend, and had been searching for it ever since. We hope you feel the same way too'.
μ-Ziq's new album comes 30 years after his 1993 debut, Tango N' Vectif, released on Rephlex.
