Simone Giudice, artista del suono e sound designer, presenta il suo ultimo lavoro Alone, firmato da AFFIN.
Dopo Materia e Oltre, con Alone l’artista procede alla ricerca di significati molteplici che evadono da apparenze invasive, fredde come lastre di ghiaccio cristallizzato ed entra, per gradi, in un’essenza sonora tecnicamente dilatata nei corridoi sentimentali dell’ambient.
L’incertezza nella sua inconfutabilità si erge come unica costante umana, come genetrix di una fase tanto inconsapevole quanto trascendente di un “essere in essere” che, dal gelo di alture imponenti, precipita in una estremità opposta, in una calda e intima profondità, in uno spazio senza tempo e in un tempo senza spazio.
Alone è questo: è tempesta, è un guado verso l’indefinito, verso molteplici forme indistinte, irregolari, astratte ed essenziali, rapidissime tra loro in movenze che compongono e dissolvono.
Alone è un uomo e l’uomo è in un movimento perpetuo che corrobora dimensioni immateriali dentro le quali si sentono i battiti di rabbie domate e calme assordanti.
Alone è un uomo il cui corpo è pensiero, immaginazione sospesa in un ordine naturale in rivolta contro il disordine umano.
L’estensione sonora rimuove il frastuono e lo armonizza in estrosi battiti che si ripetono con regolarità, stendendosi e ripiegandosi, soffiando per poi disperdersi nell’aria.
Alone è l’uragano nelle nostre confusioni strozzate negli imbuti della mente, strette nei tornanti di una interiorità circolare, immobili tra una folla indefinita laddove tutto appare e sparisce all'improvviso.
Alone è disciplina, eleganza che appare disegnando contorni reali e che smaschera l’inganno riflesso su uno specchio informe, conducendo all’analisi di un sé che cerca di riappacificarsi.
Simone Giudice in questo album compone una drammaturgia, alternando, metaforicamente, il monologo al dialogo, facendo confluire il tutto in una ritmica sostanzialmente vergine, in un esercizio acustico che, gradualmente si espande ramificandosi e concentrando tutta l’energia in un urlo liberatorio.
Alone è un album che sembra ricercare, in un ordine immaginario un posto, sembra inseguire una metà, concedersi l’arbitrio delle domande, la possibilità di interrogarsi e sostenersi così come di uccidersi e salvarsi, cadere e rialzarsi.
In una dimensione “labirintica” che apparentemente (solo apparentemente) manca di vie d’uscita, bianca in un’asettica perfezione, avviene un incontro salvifico, un compagno che porta colore, una somiglianza che empaticamente si materializza in una attesa! Sensazioni ed emozioni che esplodono impercettibilmente, che respirano, si assaporano, si adagiano, si scoprono in una climax ascendente che trasforma il corpo in passione. Un’esplorazione intima che ravviva i colori temperati di un acquerello; si fugge e si resta, ci si lega o ci si libera, un assolo e un duetto. L’imprevedibilità umana apre i sentimenti alla carnalità, screpolandoli, disossandoli. Ciò che lacrima è sapore, profumo!
Alone si distende prima in un assoluto acustico e poi rimbomba creando un’eco che, in uno spazio senza perimetro, si assottiglia per poi riprendere un ritmo asciutto, sintetico. Una punteggiatura che intreccia spazi a singhiozzi sintattici in un brano circolare senza inizio e senza fine, in una reciprocità che narra un passato e anticipa il futuro.
Simone Giudice restringe il tempo in un colossal dalla durata di 7 brani; l’ascolto si presta ad una visione immaginaria di un sé artistico in lotta con il sé più intimo e inquieto.
Un lavoro, quello dell’artista, che indubbiamente risente di una matrice nordica scaldata, però, da una mediterraneità assopita che copre, tra punte rocciose, gli spigoli di un’essenza d’oltre oceano. Un flusso, la corrente di un mare che si apre e si chiude ad armonici ritorni, alternati e ripetuti.
Movimento, Aria, Sequenza, Umana, Ritaglio, Strati, Sostrato, completano Alone; lo fissano nella contemporaneità dell’ambient, sperimentando sottovoce un genere eloquente, sofisticato nelle sue relazioni, in constante progresso tra astrazione e concretezza, sonorizzate all’interno di un concetto che strofina, tocco per tocco, i fianchi elettronici e avanguardistici di un artista quale è Simone Giudice. Un ascolto che riconsegna l’identità dell’attesa, considerando la perdita, crescita di una salvifica solitudine.
“Questo album descrive indistinte emozioni e sensazioni; un tuffo in noi stessi, nelle ombre dell’inconscio. Questo album non è estetica, non è forma; questo album è una pratica controcorrente e controproducente, diretta verso una dimensione profonda dell’ascolto. Siamo diventati soggetti passivi, disabituati e disincantati rispetto alle molteplici linearità sonore; siamo diventati distanti e distratti per un’intimità acustica. After Materia and Oltre, with Alone the artist proceeds in search of multiple meanings that evade invasive appearances as cold as sheets of crystallized ice and enters, by degrees, a technically dilated sound essence in the sentimental corridors of ambient.
Uncertainty in its irrefutability rises as the only human constant, as the genetrix of a phase as unconscious as it is transcendent of a "being-in-being" that, from the chill of towering heights, precipitates into an opposite extremity, into a warm and intimate depth, into a timeless space and into a spaceless time.
Alone is this: it is stormy, it is a ford into the indefinite, into multiple indistinct, irregular, abstract and essential forms, swiftly among themselves in motions that compose and dissolve.
Alone is a man and man is in perpetual motion that corroborates immaterial dimensions within which the beats of tamed rages and deafening calms can be heard.
Alone is a man whose body is thought, imagination suspended in a natural order in revolt against human disorder.
Sound extension removes the din and harmonizes it into whimsical beats that repeat with regularity, stretching and folding, blowing and then dispersing into the Air.
Alone is the hurricane in our confusions choked in the funnels of the mind, squeezed in the hairpin bends of a circular interiority, motionless among an indefinite crowd where everything suddenly appears and disappears.
Alone is discipline, elegance that appears drawing real contours and unmasking the deception reflected on a shapeless mirror, leading to the analysis of a self that seeks to make peace.
Simone Giudice composes a sort of dramaturgy, alternating, metaphorically, between monologue and dialogue, bringing them all together in an essentially virgin rhythm as well as an acoustic exercise that, gradually expands branching out and concentre all the energy in a liberating scream.
Alone is an album that seems to search, in an imaginary order for a place, chasing for another half, to allow itself the arbitrariness of questions, the possibility of questioning and sustaining itself as well as of killing and saving itself, falling and rising again
In a "labyrinthine" dimension that apparently (only apparently) lacks ways out, white in aseptic perfection, a saving encounter takes place, a companion who brings color, a resemblance that empathetically materializes into expectation! Sensations and emotions erupt imperceptibly, breathing, savoring, settling, discovering themselves in an ascending climax that transforms the body into passion.
An intimate exploration that enlivens the tempered colors of a watercolor; one escapes and stays, one binds or releases, a solo and a duet. Human unpredictability opens feelings to carnality, cracking them, boning them. A flavour is crying, a perfume!
Alone stretches first into an acoustic absolute and then rumbles, creating an echo that, in a space without a perimeter, thins out and then resumes a dry, synthetic rhythm. A punctuation that weaves spaces into syntactic hiccups in a circular piece with no beginning and no end, in a reciprocity that narrates a past and anticipates the future.
Simone Giudice shrinks time into a 7-song colossal; listening lends itself to an imaginary vision of an artistic self struggling with the more intimate and restless self.
A work, that of the artist, which undoubtedly suffers from a Nordic matrix warmed, however, by a slumbering Mediterranean-ness that covers, between rocky points, the edges of an overseas essence. A flow, the current of a sea that opens and closes to harmonic returns, alternating and repeating.
Movement, Air, Sequence, Human, Cutout, Layers, Substrate, complete Alone; they fix it in the contemporaneity of ambient, experimenting in a whisper with an eloquent genre, sophisticated in its relations, in constant progress between abstraction and concreteness, sonorized within a concept that rubs, touch by touch, the electronic and avant-garde flanks of an artist who is Simone Giudice. A listening that rededicates the identity of waiting, considering loss, growth of a salvific solitude.
