Mc Yallah sta lavorando ad un nuovo album in uscita da Hakuna Kulala, sub-label di Nyege Nyege.

Con 12 tracce, "Yallah Beibe" vanta la produzione di tre artisti affiliati a Hakuna Kulala e Nyege Nyege Tapes: Chrisman, Debmaster e Shigge, alias Scotch Rolex. Ci sono anche contributi vocali di Ratigan Era e Lord Spikeheart.

'Yallah Beibe' è il seguito del progetto completo di debutto di MC Yallah del 2019, con Debmaster, 'Kubali'. Ha iniziato a lavorare a quest'ultimo album nella villa di Nyege Nyege a Kampala, in Uganda, dopo che i suoi piani di tournée sono stati interrotti nel 2020 a causa del COVID-19.

Quarto LP ad oggi, "Exotic Sequence" è un'immersione profonda completamente strumentale nelle macchine e nella mentalità di Joey, come spiega lui stesso:

"Il titolo "Exotic Sequence" mi è venuto in mente perché in tutto l'LP tendevo a usare un sequencer per la melodia principale della maggior parte dei brani. Quasi ogni volta che mi avvicino a un brano con intenzioni techno, alla fine finisce per diventare deep/housey", afferma l'artista che ha sfondato 15 anni fa con la Strength Music di Qu e che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con artisti del calibro di Dekmantel e, più di recente, Avenue 66.

Ora, con la relativamente nuova e fiorente etichetta Deeptrax, un'istituzione dei negozi di dischi olandesi, Joey ci dice a che punto è con un lavoro che ci ricorda in modo toccante che non è la destinazione che conta, ma il viaggio che affrontiamo per arrivarci.

Mc Yallah is working on a new album to be released by Hakuna Kulala, Nyege Nyege's sub-label.

'Yallah Beibe' is the follow-up to MC Yallah's 2019 debut complete project with Debmaster, 'Kubali.’ He started work on this latest album at Nyege Nyege's villa in Kampala, Uganda, after his touring plans were halted in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Joey Anderson reveals new album 'Exotic Sequence' - out in March.

Due out on 6 March via Deeptrax Records, Exotic Sequence continues to explore the New Jersey DJ and producer's deep, mechanical sound.

From New Jersey, via the Netherlands: long-time US artiste Joey Anderson makes his Deeptrax debut with his inspiring new album 'Exotic Sequence.’

His fourth LP to date, 'Exotic Sequence' is an entirely instrumental deep dive into Joey's machines and mindset, as he explains:

"The title 'Exotic Sequence' came to me because, throughout the LP, I tended to use a sequencer for the main melody of most of the tracks. Almost every time I approach a path with techno intentions, it ends up being deep/housey,' says the artist who broke through 15 years ago with Qu's Strength Music and has worked closely with Dekmantel, more recently, Avenue 66.

On the relatively new and burgeoning Deeptrax label, a Dutch record shop institution, Joey tells us where he stands with a work that poignantly reminds us that it's not the destination that matters—still, the journey we take to get there.

The record comes precisely three years after his last album, 'Rainbow Doll,’ and marks the strangest and most surreal start to the decade we have experienced since house and techno culture took root in the 1980s.

A timeless document that looks backward and forwards, unhurried, reflective, and longevous realized, 'Exotic Sequence' is probably the most honest side of Joey Anderson we have heard so far in his extensive career.
